Dr. Ganesh H K is a Mangalore-based Consultant Endocrinologist with about seven years’ experience in medical practice. He can be consulted at the Maithri Clinic (Bendorewell) and the AJ Institute of Medical Sciences (Kuntikana), where he has been working since November 2007.

Dr. Ganesh completed his MBBS and internship from the Government Medical College in Mysore in 1999. He then obtained an MD (Internal Medicine) postgraduate degree from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, in 2003. He further went on to do his DM in Endocrinology (2004-07) from KEM Hospital and Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai.

Dr. Ganesh served as Registrar in General Medicine at SMS during his MD residency. He was Consultant Physician at Kasaragod District Cooperative Hospital, Kumbla, for five months ended December 2003, and then taught as Assistant Professor of General Medicine at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalore for six months. During his DM course, he was Registrar and Senior Registrar at KEM Hospital and Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai, before moving back to Mangalore in November 2007.

Dr. Ganesh has contributed several papers to various peer-reviewed journals. He has attended numerous conferences across the country and internationally, at which he has made several presentations in his field of expertise. He has also obtained specialised certification associated with his line of work over the years. Based on criteria which included academic qualifications, achievements, and a research paper submission, he was one of five Indians selected to attend the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society Fellows Course (in Pediatric Endocrinology) at Ryong, Thailand, in October 2006.

Dr. Ganesh was the recipient of the AR Seth Award (Best Original Research Award in Endocrinology in India) in 2008
